CPD + TLLAL -Saving a club from relegation April 08
|
UK-based football troubleshooter David McCulloch has helped transform the club from a relegation-threatened side to promotion contenders.
“We work with the manager to effect any changes that are required to improve the team’s performance using CPD and our methodology called TLLAL.” McCulloch's company, 2AspireTo.com, puts programmes in place designed to bring about immediate and long term improvement in a team's performances, results and development. His passion and particular area of expertise is helping football clubs improve and when the club dropped into the relegation zone last April, McCulloch made some suggestions as to how the manager could turn the club's fortunes around. The club had managed just one home league win all season prior to April 12. After consulting McCulloch and implementing some changes, the manager was able to halt a poor run of form which had seen the team go seven games without a win. The club stopped the rot with a 5-0 home win against promotion-chasing (a club) on April 12. This was the start of a five match unbeaten run to the end of the season that secured the clubs survival. The clubs good run of results continued into this season, with an unbeaten start to the campaign - their best start to a season for 18 years - sending them to the top of the table. McCulloch's philosophy is based on CPD and a methodology called TLLAL not psychology. He works with a club for typically five to 10 days at a time and introduces a programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) that he says will guarantee an immediate improvement in a team's performances and results. "The CPD programme is ideal for clubs if they find themselves struggling at the wrong end of the table like (the club) were last season – or clubs chasing promotion or those who want to improve their results," said McCulloch. The clubs manager confirmed: "David helped us improve the way we were doing things at a critical point last season. "And he helped to improve the way we went about developing the team." But his main interest is helping English clubs, managers and players. His ultimate goal is to help with the development of English managers towards the appointment of an English manager as manager of the England team. |
