I believe that you have to put everything on your side to be competitive, said Wenger. As a manager, you have to live like a player. Arsenals performance against Everton was impressive, there is no doubting that. Most would have been expecting an away win, but the manner in which it happened made the league sit up and take notice. But was it really that much of a surprise? In recent years, Arsenal have often gone to Goodison Park on the opening game of the season, and they have always won. On two of those occasions they recorded 4-1 scorelines. This 6-1 thrashing was beyond even that, proving that having sound processes equals sound results. Arsenal, on their day, play the best football in the entire league. They are capable of dismantling anyone.
